Applications for batteries in window


The project consisted of the development and production of a battery pack according to customer-specific specifications with all certifications including UN38.3 test as well as the necessary security for applications in the window. 

The special challenge was to develop a battery pack for outdoor use that meets the customer's high requirements and can withstand extreme weather conditions (hot summers, cold winters). This gave him a clear advantage over his competitors.

Main areas of research


Our goal was the complete in-house development of the battery design, the protection electronics, the housing and the suitable mounting bracket to ensure the required safety and to enable a perfect use in the application. A special research focus was the simulation of the different temperature conditions, which served to find an optimal solution for the customer.

Our solution


The rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack 1S1P with 3,6V/2,6Ah as well as our own developed and in the battery built in protection electronics with single cell monitoring to protect against over- or deep discharge, short circuit and over temperature.

The battery was designed and developed by us from prototype to serial production and certified with all necessary safety functions to meet the customer's defined application.
