Batteries for military applications

The project consisted of the development and production of a battery pack according to customer-specific specifications with all certifications including UN38.3 test as well as the necessary safety features required for military applications. 
The particular challenge was to develop and design a battery pack that is particularly compact and shock-resistant, so that it is suitable for use in various terrain and can be installed in the intended equipment. In addition, an interface was integrated to read out the battery data. 

Our solution


The rechargeable LiFePO4 battery pack 8S9P with 25.6V/28.8Ah with specially developed protection electronics built into the battery with single cell monitoring to protect against overdischarge, deep discharge, short circuit and overtemperature. 

The battery has been designed, developed and certified by us from prototype to series production with all the necessary safety functions in order to optimally meet the customer's defined application.
We are experts in the field of battery and charging technology with over 20 years of experience in this field.
 

Main areas of research


Our goal was to develop the complete battery design, the protection electronics and the interface in-house, in order to guarantee all necessary safety for the use according to customer specifications in the application. A special focus was the integration of the interface on the protection electronics with the respective readout options defined by the customer.
